I wish I could clone myself. It is hard to be two places
at the same time. The Lady Lunas playoff game against King Kekaulike was
scheduled for 5:30pm at Seabury Hall in Olinda. The Lahainaluna boys’
basketball game against Kamehameha Schools Maui was scheduled for 7:00pm at the
Lahaina Civic Center. I decided to head up to Olinda and catch the first half
of the girls’ game, then drive to Lahaina to hopefully catch the tip-off of the
boys’game . . . without getting a speeding ticket!
The game against Na Alii was actually pretty competitive for most of the first half that I was there. King K was taking it to the hoop aggressively and handling Lahainaluna’s press relatively well. I left at halftime and was pleased to learn that the Lady Lunas won 65-30. Paige Casil led the team with 15 points.
