After the morning softball game, I drove to Lahaina to
catch the boys’ volleyball team’s match against Hana, a perennial power in
Division II. It was an exciting see-saw affair, but the Dragons prevailed in
five sets, winning 25-12, 22-25, 25-20, 23-25 and 15-10. The Lunas are starting
to play better, especially new-to-the-sport senior Spencer Perieff. Still, the
Lunas could not take advantage of the fact that the Dragons were coming off a
5-set match against Seabury Hall the night before.
