My first varsity softball game of the year. The defending
champs picked up where they left off, dismantling Maui High 12-2 on the Lunas'
home field. All-Star pitcher Hope Morikawa and the defense uncharacteristically got off to a rough start, allowing Maui High to take a 2-0 lead in the first.
However, the Lady Lunas' hitters responded immediately. The batters had their way, especially Jessica Wallace who blew things open with a towering home run to left field.

Haley Nakamura smacked 2 triples, and a double. Wallace also had a double in addition to her home run. Morikawa was 3-4, Lyla Talaroc-Kaniho was 2-3, Chalice Dela Cruz was 2-3 and freshman Tobi Bonifacio was 3-3 to lead the Lunas' hitting attack.
