The Lunas traveled to War Memorial to take on the Trojans
of St. Anthony. The Trojans’ girls are led by MIL standout Alicia Ballesteros.
The Trojans’ boys lost reigning MIL champ Kento Tamaki-Tanaka, now playing
collegiately at Pepperdine.
The girls won 4-1 and the boys won 5-0, thanks to
several defaults. Alec Wagner also
dispatched of Daniel Raikes in less than half an hour.
I understand many of the team members were still able to
make it to junior prom or senior ball or whatever, although they were all
probably sporting nasty tennis tans.
