The Lunas demolished King Kekaulike 35-0 in JV football. Unfortunately, I was stuck in a deposition of the head engineer of the Maui District Department of Transportation and was unable to get off work early. As such, I missed the first half of the game.
By the time I got there just before halftime, the Lunas were already well in control 28-0. I sure missed a lot of scoring! The sun was still setting so there was still plenty of time to take some great photos. The Lunas ended up scoring again on their first play from scrimmage in the second half, a 50-plus yard run by #11 Christian Whitehead. The Lunas’ coaches basically put it on cruise control after that, letting a lot of the reserves get a taste of some on-field action.
