MIL JV Football: Lahainaluna 25 at King Kekaulike 15 - October 5, 2013

The JV Lunas got off to a good start in the second half of the MIL season with a 25-15 win over King Kekaulike. They had won the first round game on a last minute touchdown drive 36-35 in their first match up. This time, the Lunas were in control the entire game.

There was a threat of rain - it seems to only rain when Lahainaluna plays - but fortunately it did not downpour like it did in the first round matchup. Again, #22 for King Kekaulike was tough to stop but Lahainaluna had more weapons.

From a photographic standpoint, I was really looking forward to this game and next week's game at Kamehameha Maui. Nothing like shooting Upcountry when the sun goes down. Nothing.

Because of the potentially rainy weather, it was overcast, so the usually spectacular sunset colors were somewhat subdued and short-lived. Plus, the Lunas were assigned to the makai sideline with their backs to the sun. It was difficult getting shots with the setting sun in the background since I was shooting away from it.
