One last chance to end the season on a high note. Maybe score an upset in the MIL tournament - and it would be sweet if it was against Baldwin. Seniors Lithe Pokipala-Waiohu and Kawena Murray were back from injury for one last go-around. Playing at home. It all seemed like the pieces of the story were falling into place. But then the match started and the Lady Lunas lost 3-1: 23-25, ? - 25, 25-10, 20-25.
They played tough and, at times, inspired, thanks to supportive fans that made it to the game and a looseness amongst the players knowing that the season was almost over. They actually had legitimate chances to win 3 matches but again, whenever Faavae Galoia rotated out of the game because she was in the back row, Baldwin went on huge runs to get back into the game.
