With the JV game cancelled due to Lahainaluna's lack of players, I hung out at the gym with my laptop waiting for the varsity game to start at 6pm. Maui High has a good squad this year, and the Lady Lunas managed to play some competitive volleyball to somewhat delay Maui's ability to get Upcountry to watch their football game at Kamehameha Maui. Sabers win in 3 sets 24-26, 17-25, 16-25. Lunas had big leads in the first an second sets, but were not able to sustain their momentum. Typically, whenever Faavae Galoia rotated to back row and was subbed out, that was when the other team usually made their runs.
