Sometimes my photo adventures come fortuitously. Such was the case for the Lahainaluna girls JV and varsity volleyball team. Their official MIL opener was a week away on Tuesday, so I was set on getting photos of the team then. But I saw a Facebook post from one of the players about a tournament at Seabury Hall. Turns out, there was going to be an all-day volleyball tournament with many MIL teams participating! What a way to kill two birds with one stone. Plus, Seabury Hall is a great place to shoot volleyball photos!
So at the conclusion of cross-country on the Maui High campus, I drove up to Seabury Hall for the tournament which started at 9:30am.
The JV team is much different than last year. Small in numbers too. But they were battling and having fun. They played one set against each team in a round-robin format. Lunas beat St. Anthony to avoid a winless tournament.
