The Lahainaluna girls soccer team saved the best for last. In their season finale, they almost pulled off an upset of Kamehameha Schools Maui, the #2 team in the MIL. The Lady Lunas took an improbable 1-0 lead into the half, holding a powerful Warrior team scoreless. The Lady Lunas played incredible defense and goalie Bridget Joy showed why she is an MIL all-star with numerous stops. Even after the Warriors managed to finally score two goals within a short time period midway through the second half, the Lady Lunas never gave up, scoring a goal in the final minutes to salvage a 2-2 tie.
