Unfortunately, despite great starts and taking big leads in each of the first 2 sets, thanks to great serving by Jessica Wallace and Kawena Murray, Lahainaluna's girls varsity volleyball team could not maintain momentum and lost the leads late each time to a persistent Maui High team that got timely hitting, timely serving and a lot of lucky bounces in the end. Maui High swept all 3 sets from Lahainaluna, 23-25, 24-26, 23-25 to claim its first victory of the season and kept Lahainaluna winless in the regular season. Lahainaluna has yet to win a set this year.
