It's that time of year again! Come up to Lahainaluna and Boarder's Field from 10am to 1pm on Saturday August 20, 2011 for the annual fundraiser for Lahainaluna's athletic field. There will be fun, food, games and entertainment. I also understand you can purchase Lahainaluna items so you can show your support for the school and the teams throughout the athletic year. Kudos to the Lahainaluna High School Foundation, Jeff Rogers, and all the volunteers and businesses that help put this event together. So come up and help support the school!
And if your memory is short, check out how the field used to look just 2 years ago!
If you got a lot of spare change, buy a brick (I think you still can!) and immortalize yourself for all time!
Of course, hang around because at 1:30pm, the varsity football team will be playing their second game of the preseason against Keaau High School from the Big Island. Lahainaluna played them last year and came away with a victory. Now the tables are turned as Lahainaluna hosts them in the Imu! Keeau is coming off a 32-0 loss last week to Konawaena, whereas Lahainaluna looks to bounce back and improve upon a 14-0 loss to Pac-5 last week. See you there!
